Universal Geneve Polerouter
Serial 1731659 (Circa 1955)
Dial: Black dial with gilt text, gilt crosshair and minute markers. Lume plots. Applied shield logo. Silver marker ring. Dauphine hands with central lume.
Case: 35.5mm. Stainless steel case. Bombe lugs. 19mm lug width. Signed crown. Case back with engraved logo and case reference and serial numbers.
Movement: Universal Geneve self-winding Cal 138ss ‘bumper’ movement
Condition/Notes: Rare H.P.C text in silver on dial. Although very occasionally seen on UG chronographs, this is the only example of a Polerouter with the HPC dial designation that I am aware of. It could stand for High Precision Chronometre, High Precision Certified or perhaps something entirely different. One thing we can be certain about is that it is extremely rare to see it on a Polerouter. Original signed crystal with etched logo to centre.
